Family Support Groups

Family members and significant others wishing to visit a client in residential treatment must attend Family Support Groups prior to visiting. The groups take place prior to visiting each week, and are designed to assist family members with what to expect, and explore how to handle typical problems that might arise during the treatment process. Topics include, but are not limited to the following family dynamics, addictive attitudes and behavior, co-dependency, and stressors associated with recovering families. Children under the age of 14 may not attend the Family Support Group but they can visit. Attendance for all other resources' is optional after the first 4 groups. We always encourage everyone to continue the groups throughout the treatment process as most find them a helpful and useful experience.
